3-Day Tsavo West & East Safari from Nairobi to Mombasa

Your safari adventure starts with an early morning departure from Nairobi, heading towards Tsavo West National Park. Upon arrival, check into the luxurious Kilaguni Serena Lodge, your base for exploring the park. Begin your exploration with a visit to the Shetani Lava Flows, formed by recent volcanic activity, followed by a stop at Mzima Springs, where you can observe hippos and fish underwater from an underground viewing chamber. Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by the park’s natural beauty before embarking on an afternoon game drive, where you may encounter a variety of wildlife including elephants, lions, giraffes, and more. Return to Kilaguni Serena Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart for Tsavo East National Park, known for its vast landscapes and diverse wildlife. Check into Ashnil Aruba Lodge and head out for a full day of exploration. Marvel at the sight of dust-red elephants browsing gracefully against the backdrop of the savannah. Visit the Aruba Dam, a popular watering hole for wildlife, and Mudanda Rock, a towering rock formation that attracts elephants and offers panoramic views of the park. Explore the Yatta Plateau, the world’s longest lava flow, and enjoy bird watching opportunities as you traverse the park. In the late afternoon, return to the lodge for dinner and relaxation

On your final day, enjoy one last game drive through Tsavo East National Park before heading to the town of Voi. Here, your driver/guide will assist you in transitioning to the Madaraka Express, the high-speed train to Mombasa. Relax in your first-class compartment and enjoy panoramic views of Tsavo East as you travel to the coast. Indulge in refreshments from the buffet car and take advantage of the onboard amenities before arriving at the state-of-the-art train station in Mombasa. Your safari concludes with a transfer from the SGR station to your accommodation in Mombasa.
